Staying on Track

Gene and I took a little 50th birthday trip last week. We did lots of hiking and biking in eastern Iowa. I tried to eat right most of the time, although I didn't track on myfitnesspal. The evening meal I treated myself to some higher cal/higher fat things. I feel like I burned off more than I ate but the scale isn't showing it. We'll see if I can have a loss by Weigh-In Wednesday.

For my noon meal I've been taking advantage of all the produce from our garden. I usually start with some kind of meat- either beef strips, chicken or tipalia, and stir fry any veggies I have around. Red and green peppers, tomatoes, zuchini and onions are plentiful in the garden- so yummy. Add spices, usually Chiptle pepper, Lawry's, fresh ground pepper. And, I add shredded parmesan cheese to top things off. Calorie content- about 300-375 calories for a huge helping. I keeps me full until supper.
